The image above is of Noah Green, a friend of mine, outlined in leaves that we got from trees. His hair is very long grass and it turned out great. This was the exact intention of what we wanted our art to come out like. We wanted it to look like he just fell down the stairs and died. I took a risk because it was windy and cold and so a couple seconds after we took the opicture, the wind blew the leaves everywhere, but I think it looks great. #BEST#PROJECT#EVER
We had to make something that is artsy out of newspaper. It was very very hard to do because newspaper is so weak and thin. I made a triangle house thing. I had to put a piece of wire in the middle to hold it up because it just kept falling down without the wire. I took a risk with the idea of making it so tall and thin. Next time, I would make my design stronger and more bulky.
The clay piece above is of a fish with the colors of Apex High School. I made this fish more fictional because this fish doesn't have gills, fins, teeth and it has one eye. My risk that I took with the fish is the overall design of my fish and its colors. The clay was made into a fish, fired in a kiln and hand painted using acrylic paint. I really like the idea of the fish having a huge tongue sticking out of his mouth. It was a fun project because you can make almost anything out of clay.
The drawing above is an ink monster that I made out of ink. I had no control of where the ink was going because I was blowing the ink out of a straw. I actually think it came out good because I had no control over my art. I couldn't of done anything better because I had limited control over the ink. My medium was black ink. I like how my art came out though.
The image above is a stencil I cut out of cardboard using an exactoblade. As you can maybe see, it is a fish jumping out of water. I outlined the fish on the cardboard well, but the way it came out on paper was terrible. My medium was cardboard. The color green was sprayed using spray paint which was fun, but hard to use and control. I probably would've been more precise with the exactoblade. Overall, it was a fun project, but very slow and detailed.
This is a drawing of Spongebob Squarepants and Mike from Monsters Inc. mixed together and painted with acrylic paint. The background is red watercolor. If I was ever to draw and paint this again, I would mix my paint better to make a green that was closer looking to the color of Mike from Monsters Inc. I think the drawing was great, but my green did not match the exact color of Mike. Overall, this was the most fun project for me yet.
